The merchant Adolf Noss establishes a razorblade factory

1931

Origin of the trademark TONDEO (tondere (latin) = to cut/to shear)

1949

Takeover of the factory by the TONDEO sales company

1959

In addition to blades special haircutting equipment is produced

1960

Production of Solingen hair scissors

1976

Production of the first hairstyling scissors manufactured in-house

1980

TONDEO becomes a subsidiary of Wella AG

2007

TONDEO is taken over by the company Zwilling J.A. Henckels AG

2021

CERTINA HOLDING AG takes over TONDEO

Your Tondeo shears are precision instruments and should be cared for daily to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Clean and dry your shears after each use, apply a drop of oil regularly, and store them in a case or protective holder. Avoid tossing your shears into a drawer, tool bag, or station where they can become damaged, nicked, or knocked out of alignment.
